Afrobeats

Afrobeats is a style of music and dance mostly stemming from West Africa in the late 1990s /early 2000s. It is widely accepted as an umbrella term for many sub-genres, but the name itself can be traced back to Fela Kuti, father of Afrobeat music, in the 1970s.

The dance form mixes different tribal dances from all over the continent and uses high energy body movements. Every country has its own unique movement that intersect with others through musical connections.
